Excursion to the service station "ATL-Avtoservice" in the city of Lubny.

Modern vocational education requires a combination of theoretical training with practical experience. One of the effective forms of organizing such a combination is educational excursions to enterprises, in particular to service stations, which allow students to get acquainted with the real process of car repair and maintenance.

On April 15, 2026, an excursion to the service station "ATL-Autoservice" in the city of Lubny was organized for higher education students of the specialties "Vocational Education (Transport)" and "Vocational Education (Agricultural Production, Processing of Agricultural Products and Food Technologies)".

During the excursion, students had the opportunity to get acquainted with the structure of the service station, the organization of workplaces, modern equipment, and vehicle maintenance technologies.

Inna Hennadiivna Drozdova, the manager of ATL-Autoservice in Lubny, spoke about the types of vehicle maintenance services: diagnostic testing of the technical condition of vehicles, repair and maintenance of the chassis, braking system checks, and computer diagnostics.

She also familiarized the students with the service station's equipment, spoke about the process of ordering spare parts, the procedure for service advisors to accept cars for diagnostics and repair, as well as some features of performing various types of work offered by this auto service enterprise.

After the excursion, Inna Hennadiivna answered the questions of the higher education students. Particular attention was paid to the working conditions and the salary level of the mechanics.  

An excursion to a service station is an effective form of educational organization that promotes the integration of theoretical knowledge with practice. It helps to increase the quality of training of future specialists and improves the formation of professional competencies in higher education students.
