On March 25-27, 2026, the State Institution "Luhansk National University named after Taras Shevchenko" took part in the XVII Exhibition "Modern Educational Institutions – 2026". The exhibition was organized by the "Vystavkovyi Svit" (Exhibition World) company in cooperation with the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine and the State Scientific Institution "Institute of Modernization of Educational Content".
The participants of the event included institutions of higher, professional pre-higher, and postgraduate education, scientific institutions, international educational agencies, institutions of general secondary, preschool, and out-of-school education, educational management bodies, vocational and technical institutions, as well as manufacturers and suppliers of educational technologies and resources.
The University won the competition in the thematic category "Application of Modern Teaching Aids, Technologies, and Projects to Improve the Educational Process" and received a gold medal!
A scientific work on the topic "Development, Research, and Implementation of Domestic Innovative Food Products for Military Personnel" was submitted to the competition.
The author of the work was Liudmyla Ivanivna Sienohonova – PhD in Technical Sciences, Associate Professor, Associate Professor of the Department of Vocational Education, Restaurant and Tourism Business.
The implementation of the results of the scientific project was ensured by the university team consisting of:
Vitaliy KURYLO – Chairman of the Academic Council, Academician of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor;
Olena KARAMAN – Rector, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor;
Viktor DREL – PhD in Biological Sciences, Associate Professor, Honorary Professor of the University.
The presented development was the result of fruitful cooperation between scientists and students of the university, aimed at solving urgent problems of modern times — providing military personnel with high-quality, balanced, and functional nutrition.
Within the framework of the research, innovative functional bars for military personnel were developed using modern technologies and natural components enriched with vitamins, minerals, and biologically active compounds. Conducted experimental and biomedical studies confirmed their effectiveness in maintaining physical condition, increasing endurance, and improving psycho-emotional state. The University received a utility model patent for this scientific development.
Participation in the international exhibition "Modern Educational Institutions – 2026" once again confirmed the high scientific potential of Luhansk National University named after Taras Shevchenko, its ability to generate innovative solutions and train competitive specialists. Such achievements are a significant contribution of the university to the development of national science, support of the state's defense capability, and the formation of the modern educational space of Ukraine.
