One of the promising areas of FITS activity is the implementation of modern information technologies into the educational process. For full-scale operation with virtual resources, it is necessary to download the software.

FITS features a powerful information system that, based on modern server and cloud technologies, is capable of providing access capabilities from any device (PC, smartphone, tablet) and offers:

  • To use available software on virtual servers running Microsoft Windows Server 2016.

  • To utilize licensed plagiarism checking.

  • To provide assistance in deploying "your" software on the Internet.

  • To use the "standalone software" mode (without access to virtual machines).

  • To configure virtual systems running Windows 10 and Ubuntu 22.04 according to the needs of the user or the educational process, taking into account the required number of virtual systems.

    • To use permanently operating virtual systems (24/7) for various enterprises and institutions in full or partial administration modes. The use of Windows 10 and Ubuntu 22.04 virtual systems is available. The number of CPU cores, total storage capacity, and other parameters are customizable. The core of the information system consists of a modern high-speed intranet and powerful server equipment using an integrated software environment of specialized solutions from VMware and Microsoft. This system includes the software suite VMware vSphere (VMware ESXi and VMware vCenter), which is integrated with Microsoft AD and specialized systems for the connector, gateway, and inbound router (MikroTik RouterOS).

All users are provided with an individual username and password, which, due to full integration, opens managed access to all information resources.

When using specialized client software, it is possible to use various devices (PC, tablet, smartphone, etc.). 

 

Through the implementation of modern technological solutions, CIS has the capability to provide its users with three access variants to its information resources around the clock (24/7):

  1. Using the client VMware Horizon via PcoIP and VMware Blast protocols, which enables the use of all virtual machines with various operating systems and configurations;
  2. Using an Internet browser via the HTTPS protocol (username and password must be coordinated), which provides limited capability to use all virtual machines with various operating systems and configurations;
  3. Using VPN access via the L2TP protocol, which provides the ability to connect to the remote desktop (RDP) of a powerful Microsoft Windows Server.
