On October 9, an informational meeting was held in the structural units of Taras Shevchenko National University of Luhansk located in the city of Myrhorod, bringing together higher education students of the first (Bachelor's) and second (Master's) levels of study with Volodymyr MOROZ, Head of the Primary Trade Union Organization, and Hanna SERIK, Head of the Student Social Service Sector.
Volodymyr MOROZ shared a lot of new and interesting information with the students regarding the opportunities provided by the university's trade union organization, particularly in terms of social and legal support. They discussed issues of improving the performance of the student self-government, plans and students' participation in cultural and volunteer events at various organizational levels, and, of course, involving first-year students in self-government activities.

Hanna SERIK explained who is eligible for social scholarships and which privileged categories can apply for these allowance payments. She emphasized that students who are entitled to receive both a social scholarship and an academic scholarship are paid only one type of scholarship of their choice, except for orphans and children deprived of parental care (including persons from among them), as well as students who lost their parents during their studies between the ages of 18 and 23—such individuals are simultaneously paid both academic and social scholarships in accordance with the legislation. The list of documents required for social scholarship enrollment was also reviewed. At the end of the meeting, the processing times of submitted applications, the amounts of social scholarships, and the periods of their accrual were discussed.

The meeting went excellently, in an atmosphere of open dialogue and support. The staff and higher education students of the educational and scientific institutes in the city of Myrhorod expressed their sincere gratitude to Volodymyr Petrovych and Hanna Volodymyrivna for organizing the event and providing useful advice!
