An online event dedicated to the International Day of PEACE took place at the Educational and Research Institute of Mathematics and Information Technologies.
The purpose of the event was to discuss the importance of peace in the modern world, especially in the context of the challenges Ukraine is facing. Those present had the opportunity to share their thoughts on the role of every citizen in supporting peace and harmony in society.
The participants reviewed the history of the establishment of this day and its relevance to the contemporary world. Emphasis was placed on the fact that peace is not merely the absence of war, but also harmony, justice, and well-being for all.
Students discussed how education can contribute to building tolerance, mutual understanding, and respect for different cultures and viewpoints. The importance of critical thinking and the capacity for dialogue was highlighted.
