On March 9, Ukraine and the world celebrate the 212th anniversary of the birth of our spiritual prophet, outstanding poet, talented artist, and far-sighted thinker — Taras Hryhorovych Shevchenko.
For every Ukrainian, the figure of Kobzar is a symbol of indomitability, national dignity, and endless love for their native land. His work is not just the literature of the past, but a powerful intellectual and spiritual foundation upon which our modern identity stands. Today, in times of great trials, his prophetic words "Fight — and you shall overcome!" sound more relevant than ever, giving strength and faith to each of us.
On the occasion of this significant date, staff and students of the institute gathered together to pay tribute to the great artist.
According to a good tradition, a solemn ceremony of laying flowers at the monument to Taras Shevchenko took place. Representatives of the university community bowed their heads in a minute of silence, remembering Kobzar's invaluable contribution to the development of the Ukrainian language, culture, and statehood.
"Shevchenko is not only the past, he is our present and future. His striving for freedom and truth are the values that we foster in our students every day," the event participants noted.
Taras Hryhorovych left us as a legacy not only a collection of poetry, but also an example of how a person, thanks to talent and strength of mind, can change the course of history. His artistic heritage and philosophical views remain an object of deep study for young scientists and artists of our university.
We remember, honor, and embody his testaments into life!
