The Cisco Networking Academy program was founded in 1997, becoming the world's first educational program from an IT vendor. Our university is a partner of Cisco Academy. The academy program is part of Cisco's corporate social responsibility, meaning participation is free for educational institutions and their students. In the academies, students study network technologies, cybersecurity, the Internet of Things (IoT), operating systems, and programming. To date, 9.8 million students have completed training across 10,400 academies.
In Ukraine, 130,000 students have joined from more than four hundred academies. In September 2019, the Ukrainian community of instructors celebrated its 20th anniversary. Selected courses have been translated into Ukrainian, and the translation initiative is ongoing. NN IMIT is a Cisco Academy partner.
