With the beginning of the open armed aggression, FTIS (IMIT) moved from Rubizhne, however, it lost all premises and equipment
During 2023-2024, FTIS participated in several grants and projects and fully restored its material and technical support. At this time, the institute has created all necessary conditions for organizing educational and scientific activities, fully restored all necessary computer and software (see equipment), and created innovative conditions for training future specialists in information technologies and physico-mathematical sciences. At this time, FTIS has fully restored the educational process. General information about the material and technical base can be found on the university website.
The main direction of FTIS activity is the creation of a powerful integrated environment capable of providing services in both face-to-face and remote modes, using all computing resources for all units of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Luhansk, other educational institutions, government agencies, and entrepreneurs.
FTIS has created and implemented a modern information environment that allows all students and staff to use various software in a virtual environment around the clock.
Thanks to the creation of an integrated system, FTIS is able to provide all users and students with virtual resources on powerful servers and other computers for 24/7 use. For FTIS students, there is an opportunity to order separate, personal virtual environments (Windows and Linux), which are available from any personal device (PC, smartphone, tablet) via the Internet.
Now NNIIMIT is gradually creating conditions to ensure uninterrupted, round-the-clock use of all computing equipment and the development of a high-quality information hub capable of providing various services in the IT industry.
Thus, FTIS has created:
a specialized server room to support the software and hardware complex of virtual systems and cloud computing.
a specialized laboratory for the development of software and hardware complexes for mini-computers and the Internet of Things.
classrooms for learning.
