Scientific research

The Faculty of Technology and Information Systems (FTIS) was established on April 1, 2026, based on the Educational and Scientific Institute of Mathematics and Information Technologies and the Educational and Scientific Institute of Trade and Service Technologies. The faculty is the successor to the traditions and spirit of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics. (For general information on scientific activity, visit the university website).

The faculty's teaching staff actively participates in global scientific life and collaborates with the Precarpathian National University named after Vasyl Stefanyk (Ukraine); University of Deusto (Spain); AGH University of Science and Technology (Poland); University of Cyprus (Cyprus); Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University (Ukraine); Pereyaslav-Khmelnytsky Hryhoriy Skovoroda Pedagogical University (Ukraine); Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University (Ukraine); South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D. Ushynsky (Ukraine), and many others.

FTIS is a participant in scientific and international projects. Recently, staff members have participated in:

Thanks to the accumulated experience in using virtual resources and network technologies, FTIS staff actively participated in the work of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration in 2024-2025 to develop a regional program and informatization project for the Luhansk region. By the order of the Head of the Regional State Administration - Head of the Regional Military Administration dated July 10, 2024, No. 132, a scientific-technical council for the Program was created.

Active scientific and project activity at FTIS allowed for the creation of a separate Myrhorod IT Solutions Center and improved conditions for organizing practical training and scientific activities for teachers and students. All necessary material-technical and software infrastructure has been fully restored, creating innovative conditions for training future specialists in information technologies, physics and mathematics, and other scientific fields.

To expand cooperation and exchange experience, FTIS (NN IMIT) has signed a series of cooperation agreements with the Kryvyi Rih National University, East Ukrainian Volodymyr Dahl National University, National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine, South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University, and other institutions.

An important and powerful part of FTIS research is devoted to the study of algebraic systems such as digroups, semigroups, groups, graphs, n-ary semigroups, and dimonoids. The results have theoretical significance as a contribution to the further development of universal algebra theory.

Furthermore, FTIS scientific activity is linked to research on physical-mechanical fields in polymers and composites, system analysis and modeling of technical, economic, and social processes, and the application of information technologies in education.
